Anti black-out system: what is it and how it works

The Anti Black-Out System it’s a device connected to the electricity grid which, in the event of a power failure, allows energy to be conserved in order to power the safety devices. In the presence of electricity, the rescuer recharges the batteries, while in the absence of the same, using the accumulators loaded previously, it provides energy to both the loads and the connected users. By law, the Anti Black-Out systems must be able to supply energy within a very short time from the lack of electricity.

When it’s obligatory

The use of the electric rescuer is recommended in all civil and industrial systems where it is necessary to ensure the operation of: electric motors, electric pumps, fans, lights..., and it’s obligatory in fire-fighting systems. Among the characteristics that distinguish it most are the high efficiency in terms of consumption and performance, the absence of noise, the high recharge of the accumulators in a short time and the functioning in case of emergency.

Types of Anti Black-Out Systems

Our Anti Black-Out System “Enerbox” are voltage inverters that switch the low voltage of the accumulators into single-phase 230V continuous and alternating voltage and are widely used in civil and industrial systems to ensure the operation of electric pumps, electric motors, lights and much more. In case of a short-circuit, Enerbox, thanks to the integrated GSM, can send a message of warning up to 6 different recipients. The batteries can also be recharged using renewable sources, such as wind generators or photovoltaic panels. In this way our device can be installed in all those locations that do not have power supply to guarantee energy efficiency always and everywhere.

Metal boxes: selection guide

Fourgroup accessories also include metal boxes for electrical panels which, thanks to their recistance, adaptability and ease of use, are particularly suitable to meet any installation requirement. These special boxes can be customized according to your needs, thus offering better electrical distribution, as well as greater efficiency, safety and protection.

What a metal box is for

The metal box, or junction box, is in practice the housing of the electrical panel from which the derivations depart that send the current to other directions of the plant. These derivations branch off from wells of closed line with cover. This kind of box is formed by a monoblock structure welded in sheet steel, painted with thermosetting powders, and must have a high degree of IP protection. Inside it are made the various connections that allow the electrical systems to work. In fact, a too full box would not allow a good expansion of the heat and, therefore, a good processing. For this reason, it is important not only to decide the size of the metal boxes taking into consideration their needs and the quantity of wires to be inserted inside them, but also the degree of protection according to the environment in which the box will be installed for the purpose of avoid problems of short circuits and contacts between the various cables.

What is a control panel

But what exactly are the control panels that are inside the metal boxes? Let’s explain it… The electrical panel is that part of an electrical system, or rather the heart that feeds the circuits for sockets, utilities, light points, etc. From here, in practice, the branches that transmit current to the junction boxes and to each connected electrical device start, guaranteeing the distribution of electricity and, at the same time, protecting people from serious accidents in case of emergencies, blackouts, short-circuits or contacts with bare cables.

The wirer – The specialist in wiring systems

In modern buildings, the wirer deals with the installation of the wiring systems for the realization of the various local networks with the aim of integrating the various communication devices such as control and surveillance systems, computer networks, telephone terminals, and etc.

Structured cabling: What is it and what does it consist of?

But what exactly is meant by structured cabling? Structured cabling is and infrastructure capable of satisfying the connection needs of local networks, such as the LAN or ISDN telephone network, ie the classic and numerical network, but also alarms, controls, video images, etc. Thanks to the new technologies, the wirer is able to provide any type of building with an integrated wiring that avoids the overlapping of cables making the ducts for the passage of the cables more efficient.

The advantages of a wiring are therefore:

  • Efficiency
  • Vanguard
  • Productivity
  • Flexibility
  • Integration
  • Universality
  • Open to all LAN networks
  • Costs reduction
  • Identification of problems in a short time

Why wiring is important?

The importance of structured cabling is to create a computer network with cutting-edge technological services, useful for safety and energy saving. Today, in fact, there are many structures equipped with these plants, but they must comply with the regulations and laws in force on the subject with the aim of guaranteeing the efficiency of the product. For each location usually one ore more cables are laid in the walls, floors or false ceilings so that a horizontal FD floor cabling is implemented, a 19-inch rack that can accommodate both the active equipment and the permutators. Each room with a distribution cabinet should have the appropriate characteristics for power supply protected by a UPS, access control and air conditioning.

Silenced genset: why use it

The silenced generator is used for special needs as it allows to reduce the noise in output, unlike a normal current generator that is usually quite noisy. The last one is often used to power stand electric users and stalls during fairs and events and presents an engine without protection that, therefore, unleashes its full power. The normal generators, moreover, are used for occasional jobs, where it is not necessary to keep them on for a long time. Soundproof generatore are widely used in the industrial sector, where there is a need for electricity or in an emergency, and the engine must remain on for many consecutive hours. Usually, for long lasting operations, it is better to choose a diesel engine generator, such as on construction sites, while for domestic use, it’s better to prefer generators with petrol engines.

How a soundproof generator is made

The silenced generators have a canopy covered with sound-absorbing material.

The silenced generators series by Fourgroup

Our series of soundproof generators are: Urban, Argo, Mistral e Road, with liquid or air cooling. Depending on the needs they can be used for residential or industrial use. Depending on the needs they can be used for residential or industrial use. The canopy is equipped with large doors and offers a high level of soundproofing, while the electronic control unit manages the motor to detect the lack of mains voltage.

Electric cabinets: what they are and how they work

The electric cabinets, known as control panels represent that part of the plants that feeds outlets, lights but also home appliances. In other words, the electrical cabinet is the heart of the plant from which branch lines start, carrying the current to the junction boxes and to any type of electrical device

How many types of electrical cabinets exists

The electric cabinets are formed by a single general switch, by at least two differential switches, or the so called “circuit breakers”, and by several magnetothermal switches. They are located downstream of the counter and can be installed internally or externally, but also recessed, or placed in the floor or on the wall. Our control panels with automatic intervention are equipped with control unit and control panel: they are those control panels interposed between the network and the user, able to supply the latter automatically, in case of instability or lack of electrical voltage. Inside they find power counters, battery chargers, terminal blocks and various accessories.

What are electrical panels made for?

The electrical cabinets can have different functions, among which, above all, to power the circuits and protect them, besides interrupting the power supply of a circuit, in case of emergency, danger, short circuit and overload.

This part of the system not only dispenses and distributes the current, but also protects people from serious and unexpected hazards, interrupting the electricity in case of power surges, overloads, electrical leakage and contact with live or exposed parts.

Precisely their maintenance, which must always be carried out by expert and professional hands, is vital to guarantee the correct functioning of the electrical panels. According to the regulations, the electrical cabinets must have a size greater than 15% compared to what is necessary and that the circuits of the sockets are protected against overload.
