These are machines formed by a thermal combustion engine for the production of continuous or alternating electricity, useful in the event of a current emergency such as blackout, short circuit or network failures. The genset therefore serves to guarantee direct current in public and private facilities, from schools to offices, and to infrastructures of a certain importance such as hospitals, airports or construction sites, where electricity is essential for carrying out the work. In this way mechanical electrical energy is assured through a magnetic energy alternator, whose engine can be powered by petrol or diesel.

How many models exist?

On the market there are different models of generators applicable according to different needs. For example, silenced generators, battery-driven generators or fire-fighting generators can be found. The silenced generator set has a soundproof generator suitable for activities in public places or outdoors, while the battery-powered generator is recharged with the electricity grid. Then there is the fire-fighting generator that controls the hydraulic pumps through a mixture of electric and thermal energy, putting into operation the fire-fighting systems that are activated in the event of fire in closed places.
